Santos

A loan of $550 helped to expand business and have more animals to sell so she can improve their habitat infrastructure.

Santos's story

Santos, age 58, is single and has no direct family to support. She lives in a rural area known as "Los Positos" in Morrope - Lambayeque. This is a district that is known for the typical beverages made in the area (ie. chicha, made from corn and peanuts).

Santos is a woman with much dedication and patience. A great part of her life has been dedicated to buying and raising animals such as sheep, goats, horses and cattle, and fowl such as turkey, chicken and ducks. She has become an expert in this business which has been a good source of income to cover her expenses.

She is requesting a loan in the amount of 1,500 PEN through Edpyme Alternativa so she can continue with her work. With this money she plans to expand business and acquire more animals that she can later sell. She also wants to improve the infrastructure of the habitat where her animals live for increased safety and comfort, and to buy wholesale animal feed in order to lower costs.
