A loan of $550 helped to buy fertilizer for his fields.

Hector's story

Hector is a young single man, 19 years old, who lives in his parents' house, which has only electric service. The house is located in the small town of Chacupe Bajo, which is in Victoria District and is a few minutes from Chiclayo District. Agriculture is the main activity in this small town.

For about two years Hector has farmed the fields his father gave him for growing sweet potatoes and corn. These foods are eaten daily by the townspeople, can be cooked in several ways, and are very tasty. When he harvests his products he takes them to sell at wholesale and retail markets in the various districts, and he uses the money he earns to help his family meet their needs.

Hector has asked Edpyme Alternativa for a loan of 1500 new soles to buy fertilizer so he can improve his fields and his products. He has done this because later, when he sells his products, he can repay the loan and cover the needs they have at home. Hector wants only to make things better.

Despite his youth Hector is very hard-working, responsible, honest, and he tries to help his father grow sweet potatoes and corn. His only goal is to later have his own fields and crops.
