Irma's story

Irma is from the city of San Miguel. She is 21 years old, and she is a happy and hard-working woman. She lives in her own house with her 22 year old life partner, Fraxides, and her beloved five year old son, Henria. She wishes to give him a better quality of life.

The arduous work that Irma does with Fraxides on her farm has made their crops well cared. Therefore, her products are rapidly purchased on sale day. Her main source of income is selling cacao, coffee, bananas, and mullein. She sells her products in San Francisco.

At harvest time Irma hires day workers so that the products can be harvested more quickly. What she likes the most about her work is harvesting her land because she feels that she is getting the fruit of her work. She has been doing this for six years. The most difficult part is taking care so the pest infestations do not attack the plants. In time she wants to get more land to increase her crops.

This is her fifth loan with MFP. She has been very punctual with her payments, and she has not caused any problems for her communal bank. She will use the requested loan to buy insecticides to combat pest infestations.
