A loan of $375 helped to buy food and birds to raise for poultry.

Jose Octavio's story

José [Joseph], 49 years old, lives in a neighborhood on the edge of the Túcume provence, which is about a hours travel distance from the district of Chiclayo.

He lives with his wife and son in their own home, which only has electricity service as it is still a developing community. The district is a tourist area and very popular with people from other places.

José has worked in commercial poultry breeding, farming and selling for approximately 20 years. His business is located in the back of his home. He feeds the birds a balanced diet and once they have reached development they are sold in the Túcume district market or other markets.

José has requested a loan of 1000 soles from Edpyme Alternative to purchase birds to raise and sell in order to earn more to improve the quality of life for his family and repay the loan.

José is a well-known in his community due to his desire to excel every day and give better opportunities to his children in the near future.
