Rolin's story

Rolin is a 21-year-old gentleman. Despite the challenges he has faced, he is determined to move forward. He lives with Dora, age 25, and their one-year-old son named Jean Piere who they care for with great love. Rolin lives in a rented house located in the town of Santa Clara. Even though he is young, Rolin is clear about his objectives since the birth of his son drives him to work hard. His aspirations focus on building his own house. For the past three years, he has been farming on his own land that he inherited from his parents, but it is a small piece of property. For this reason, he also takes part in a larger farming cooperative and shares in the responsibilities of covering the expenses. His main crop consists of different varieties of potatoes. After each crop is harvested, he sells the produce at the central market in town. Even though he puts great effort into producing potatoes, Rolin still has free time to work on other crops so that he can use the income to maximize his savings. His plans include buying his own farmland. Now he has few responsibilities while he waits to obtain the operating capital to accomplish his goals.

Rolin is a member of the Communal Bank “Trabajemos Unidos” (We Work Together) and this is his second loan with MFP. He assumes responsibilities working with his Communal Bank. The members of this group are responsible and accomplished individuals. Rolin has planted potatoes of the “yungay” variety, so the money he is requesting will be used to buy several sacks of organic fertilizer to apply on his crops.
