A loan of $375 helped to buy more suckling pig and ingredients.

Sabina's story

Sabina is 39 years old and lives with her husband and four children in her mother's house. She has been making traditional dishes from her area for more than 10 years. These dishes include roasted suckling pig. She makes her sales as an itinerant street vendor in one of the main streets in her city. She works in her business all day and, when she finishes work, she returns home to buy all the ingredients she needs and to roast another suckling pig. Sabina has continual sales due to the quality of her food and the hygiene which she employs in preparing it. Her customers can have confidence in the dish that she offers.

In the future, Sabina would like to set up a large sales location where she can provide her customers with a better service. This is her second loan from MFP. Being a member of her community bank means quite a lot to her because she trusts the other members of her group and, with them, she learns how to make good use of her income. For this reason, she pledges to be punctual in making her loan repayments. Sabina will use the loan she is requesting to increase her capital in order to buy more meat and ingredients which she hopes will allow her to improve her profits.
