A loan of $1,075 helped to purchase more snacks to supply her business.

Obdulia's story

Obdulia is 41 years old and she lives with her husband and their 4 children in a house that they own. For more than 3 years she has been selling sweets and snacks at the door of primary school near her house. She is open for business especially during recess times and when school is out. During summer school she goes to the various education institutions in her area. This is how she distributes her time between housework and her business: every day she goes out with a small cart to the door of education institutions to sell her sweets. During this season of work she has seen the advantages of her business so she has decided to improve her business by having a larger quantity of sweets. This is her third loan with MFP (Kiva Field Partner). She considers it to be a positive experience to partake in a communal bank because she is able to learn the best ways to have well-organized finances. With the loan that she requests she will purchase sweets merchandise and she will improve her tricycle and the awning.
