A loan of $650 helped to purchase more chickens to resell and chicken mash for his growing chicks.

Patrick's story

55-year-old Patrick M. has been a poultry farmer for the past 6 years in Kyamagwa-Jinja. He sells chickens and eggs. Prior to the poultry business, this happily married father of 7 was engaged in farming. He still carries out his farming though on low scale compared to before he began the poultry business. He says his monthly sales profits amount to 400,000 shillings. With this loan money Patrick says he is going to purchase more chickens to resell and also chicken mash for his growing chicks.
