A loan of $4,000 helped a member to buy clothes for resale.

Rumbidzai Group's story

Portia N. is the leader of the Rumbidzai Group. She is 35 years old and married with two children, aged 7 and 14. Both children are still attending school. She also has two other dependants to support. She trades clothing and grocery items in Donga-Shurugwi, a remote area that is about 35 km from the town of Gweru. She has three years of business experience. She gets additional income from her husband, who is a cross-border trader.

Portia requested this loan through MicroKing to buy clothes for resale. She says that the extra income from this loan will help improve her business prospects, opportunities and profits. She hopes to see her business grow and become fully mature.
