Ghada is a young woman from Jabalia refugee camp, Ghada is a mother of one daughter, Ghada's husband Suhail is a Palestinian National Authority employee who earns $330 per month. Ghada and her husband have very simple furniture, as their resources do not allow them to buy all the items they need, but since they have a daughter who is growing up, Ghada took out a loan from FATEN to purchase furniture for her daughter and fix the room they have by painting and installing windows in the room.

Ghada's husband Suhail appears in the picture here, as she is a conservative woman as are most of the Gaza Strip inhabitants.

About Housing Loans

Many poor families cannot afford housing that meets their needs. When you make a housing loan on Kiva, you give people access to flexible capital to obtain or improve their homes. Better housing means better health, sanitation, and even educational outcomes for children. A house can also be much more for entrepreneurs who run businesses out of their homes. In this way, housing and small business loans on Kiva share a common purpose: to alleviate poverty and enable families to enjoy more stable lives.
