Betsayda's story

Betsayda is a member of the “Las Intocables” comunal bank, located in the Puno district and department. She is 23 years old, married, and has one son. [Betsayda] has a higher education.

She’s been working with the Manuela Ramos Movement for two years and used her first loan for 500 PEN to invest into her arts and crafts business. She will use this loan for 1,000 PEN to buy five dozen small cases, ten packets of miniature dollar bills, and bundles of miniature euros. She tells us that she goes to different places and works with her mother. Her husband works for the magistrate.

She hopes to have more capital and cars to rent out. What she enjoys most about the communal bank is being able to save.
