A loan of $1,175 helped a member to purchase cattle.

Zinaida's Group's story

Zinaida D. is the leader of this group. She is 59 and unfortunately, she is a widow. She has raised five sons and a daughter. The youngest son studies at school and the other children are married and live separately with their families.

In order to earn a livelihood, Zainaida works as a cook in a trade center “Ak Dan”. In 2007, she saved 15,000 soms and started a cattle breeding activity. Selling cattle after fattening, she earns an additional 3000 soms per month. This profit made it possible for her to purchase furniture for her home and improve her living conditions. With money received from the loan, Zinaida will purchase cattle in order to resell it at a higher price after fattening.
