A loan of $1,075 helped to purchase traps and insecticide.

Cirila's story

Cirila is 39 years of age and a local of Quimbiri. She is a very hardworking woman who lives in her own home with her husband Cirilo, 47, and her four beloved children to whom she wants to offer a better quality of life.

Together with her husband, Cirila works every day on the land and through her efforts she has created very productive crops. She plants a bit of everything, including cocoa, coffee and nuts, as she knows that every vegetable that she grows will be of good quality which she can later sell in the market of San Francisco. Cirila and her husband have spent twenty years in this line of work and what she likes the most is protecting her plantations from insect plagues that can be detrimental to the plants' development. Nevertheless, having to transport the crops is very difficult for her. Cirila hopes to be able to get the necessary funds together to purchase new plots of land for the future of her business.

This is Cirila's twelfth loan with MFP and their support helps her to develop her business. She is very proud to be a responsible member of her community bank. With the loan that she is applying for she will purchase insect traps and insecticide to combat the insect plague that damages her fruit.
