A loan of $625 helped to buy a photocopy machine.

Danis Esther's story

Danis Esther has a micro-business selling telecommunication services and general merchandise. She lives in the "Limón" neighborhood with her husband and her eight-year-old twins. This is her first loan through the Mario Santo Domingo Foundation. She plans to use it to buy a photocopy machine to increase her copying services since she is unable to provide large volume service, which is in demand. Danis needs to be competitive in her business in order to generate more income. She wants to take advantage of the physical infrastructure she has and the current market, offering national and international telephone, fax, internet and photocopy services.

Danis also sells merchandise through specialized catalogues such as beauty products, personal care, cosmetics and ladies' accessories. Her goal is to diversify her business by adding stationery supplies and grow enough to be able to have her own home. Meanwhile, her business gives her a profit of 20.7%, with a turnover of 4 days. She works hard to make her business stable so that she and her family can carry out their dreams.
