A loan of $1,250 helped a member to buy another buffalo.

Shameem's Group's story

Shameem lives in a single-room house in the city of Lahore with her husband and five children. Lahore is Pakistan’s second largest city and famous for its history and culture. She has been living there for the past 12 years. She is 42 years old. She spends most of her time at home and takes care of her family. To support her family financially, she also does sewing work for her neighborhood clients.

Her husband's name is N. A. and he operates a dairy business. For this purpose, he has five buffalos at his home. He milks them daily and sells to his community clients and different milk shops for a profit. Shameem has applied for a loan from Kiva partner Asasah to expand her husband's dairy business. Through the loan, he will buy another buffalo, which will increase the milk productivity and his sales. He has been operating this business for the past 12 years and Shameem is hopeful that with the loan investment, his business will definitely improve further and increase his profit.

She is a regular loan user of Asasah and this is her fourth loan application. In her previous loan years, she has maintained good credit behavior and never missed a meeting.
