The Cuencanitas community bank is made up of eight very charismatic, cheerful, hard-working and enterprising women. They each work in their respective businesses without neglecting their families. Their jobs have enabled them to help their households financially and they feel very proud of this fact. The women live in different parts of the city of Cuenca. Cuenca is a cold-climate city. It is surrounded by four rivers and has a beautiful historic center. Its people maintain their culture and traditions.

Mónica A. lives in Chilcapamba sector, in the city of Cuenca. She is 27 years old, married, and has three children aged 9, 6 and 2. Her two eldest children attend a local elementary school. Her husband is a construction worker. They don't own their own home but live in a rental house.

Mónica started her business two months ago. She sells clothes, especially pants. She also sells Yanbal-brand cosmetics. She sells her products throughout the city, to her family members and acquaintances.

This is the first loan Mónica has accessed through her community bank. She will invest it in buying clothes and cosmetics.

Mónica's dream is to own her own home.

El banco comunal Cuencanitas está formado por 8 mujeres muy carismáticas, alegres, luchadoras y emprendedoras. Laboran en diferentes actividades sin descuidar a sus familias, sus trabajos les han permitido ayudar en la economía de sus hogares y se sientes muy orgullosas por ello. Viven en diferentes lugares de la ciudad de Cuenca, esta ciudad un clima frió y esta bañada por 4 ríos, tiene un hermoso centro histórico, su gente mantiene su cultura y tradiciones.

La Señora. Mónica A. vive en por el sector de Chilcapamba en la ciudad de Cuenca. Tiene 27 años, es casada y tiene 3 hijos de 9, 6 y 2 años de edad, sus dos primeros hijos estudian en una escuelita de la ciudad. Su esposo labora en el área de la construcción ya que es albañil, no tienen casa propia por lo que viven arrendando.

Doña Mónica ha iniciado su negocio hace 2 meses, ella vende ropa especialmente pantalones. También se dedica a la venta de cosméticos de la marca de Yanbal, sus productos los vende recorriendo la ciudad, a sus familiares y conocidos.

Este es el primer crédito que realiza en la banca comunal y lo va a invertir en la compra de ropa y cosméticos.
