Miriam Victoria's story

Miriam Arizaga is a member of La Paz community bank. She lives in Las Peñas neighborhood, in the city of Cuenca. This is a cold-climate city which was named a World Heritage Site in 1999. The locals are very warm and have a lot of charisma.

Miriam is 35 years old, married, and has two children aged 13 and 7. Her eldest (a boy) is in high school and her youngest (a girl) is in a local elementary school. Her husband is a driver and drives a factory vehicle. Through their joint work, they have managed to build their own home.

Miriam is a beauty consultant and she sells Yanbal products, Avon products and clothes through catalogs. She has been in this line of work for six years. She works from Sunday to Sunday but does not work regular hours.

Miriam has been a member of her community bank for nine years and she will invest her new loan in buying cosmetics and clothes. Her dream is for her children to become professionals.
