A loan of $200 helped to buy tools and a motor.

José Simón's story

Jose is a 43 year-old father who lives with his wife and their 3 children in the Jesus de Nazaret neighborhood of José Leonardo Ortiz district. This is one of the most populated districts in the Lambayeque region, and it is characterized mainly by its high poverty rates, as people generally live in marginal urban neighborhoods that lack basic utilities.

Jose has a business where he works as a mechanic and assembles mototaxis (motorcycles with attached cabs used to transport people and goods) and motorcycles. He has been doing this work for more than 5 years, and thanks to this business he is able to cover his family's household expenses. Jose's business is well accepted in the area because of the good service that Jose provides. He wants to buy tools for his business and a motor to assemble a mototaxi that he will rent out to increase his income so that his family can have better living conditions. To do this, he is requesting a loan from the first time from Edpyme Alternativa for 500 Peruvian soles.
