Clotilde Norma's story

Clotilde is a member of the community bank Flor de Canela [Cinnamon Flower] located in the district and department of Puno. She is 58 years old and a single mother with four children. She studied but did not complete primary school. She has been working with the Movement Manuela Ramos for eight years. Her initial loan was for 300 soles, which she invested in her business selling articles of clothing. With this new loan of 1800 soles she will buy two bundles of second hand American clothing like jackets, sweaters, and shoes. At times her sons help her. Her dream is to have a kiosk where she will be able to sell more conveniently, not having to travel. What she likes about the Community Bank include the meetings, the punctuality, and the responsibility.
