A loan of $350 helped to buy 10 sacks of corn.

Mondoukpè's story

Mondoukpè was born on April 14, 1960 in Cotonou, the economic capital of Benin. She is married to Lucien and has five children in her care. All the children attend school. Three of them are her own children. Mondoukpè lives with her husband and the children. A dozen years ago, the family settled in Godomey Gare, located in the municipality of Abomey Calavi. The parents provide together for the family. Mondoukpè did not attend school.

Mondoukpè trades with corn. The income from this activity enables her to provide for her needs and those of the children. Mondoukpè gets her supplies from Glazoué in Benin. To strengthen her activity and better meet the demand from her customers, she came to the microfinance institution Alidé and applied for her third loan. She has repaid her previous two loans on schedule. Her ambition is to keep on strengthening her business and increasing her income.
