A loan of $4,600 helped a member to increase her food stock in her business.


Tai Group's story

Hawa Issa is in her early forties and is single with two children. She has been operating a food vendor business for ten years. She works from 6.00am to 2.00pm daily and is able to make a small monthly profit.

This will be Hawa's fifth loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to pay school fees, household expenses and increase on her food stock. She has paid back all her loans successfully. She hopes for a loan to increase her food stock.

Hawa will share this loan with her loan group "Tai" which has a total of 18 members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable in paying back their loans
