Alicia's story

Alicia J. B. is an enterprising woman who sells general merchandise. She takes advantage of each season, opportunity, and customer potential to get people to be her customers. She gets customers by knowing their interests, needs, likes, and possibilities. Alicia is a shoe designer. Even though she does not exercise this business activity, she is very creative. She knows very well which merchandise her customers would like to have. She knows what fits with the style, customer expectations, and possibilities. She has designed a system of credit sales for each of her customers. She does this in accordance with their profile. Alicia started her business two years ago. She started with friends, and she has gradually been expanding to her neighbors and referrals in other areas. This is her second loan with the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo. She used the previous loan to buy fabric to make women’s bathing suits. This way she diversified her business a little, and she put her creativity and design at her customers’ service. She is currently applying for a Kiva loan to buy merchandise like clothes, perfume, women’s accessories, and small household appliances. Mother’s Day is coming up, and her customers want to surprise their mothers and friends with items to celebrate this marvelous day.
