Raul Eduardo's story

Raúl Eduardo T. is 25 years old and is the owner of a business located in a popular sector of Ciudadela 20 de Julio, a community located to the south of the city of Barranquilla, where one can find both formal and informal productive activities, sporting settings, and residential areas, including groups of houses and apartments, which make this sector one of those with the greatest activity in the city.

In his business, Raúl sells footwear -- sandals, shoes, slippers, and inexpensive merchandise, which please all his customers and catch the eye even of those who have not bought them. He began his business with the pedestrians of the sector, friends, and people recommended to him, and to that he has continued to add suppliers who can furnish him with the products that he sells at his sales point, where he works from 9 am until 9 pm from Monday to Sunday.

Raúl's business has a lot of competition, even though it is friendly. Only competition can lower the good prices that Raúl offers to his customers, accompanied by his good service. This is the reason why he has come to Fundación Mario Santo Domingo to apply for a Kiva loan, since he will invest immediately in a larger quantity of footwear, including sandals and slippers for men and women, and with it he will be able to continue offering better prices, because he can get discounts by making his purchases in volume and paying cash.
