A loan of $600 helped to buy chickens.

Carolina's story

Carolina G. P. lives in Tecpatan in the State of Chiapas, Mexico. She is a widow and has three children under her care: Julio Cesar (18), Marco Antonio (16) and José Leopoldo (13).

She is requesting the loan to invest in the purchase of chickens that she will butcher and dress to sell in her area. She has been in this business for eight months and tells us that it is going well, as she is increasing her household income.

She started this business to cover her family’s expenses, beginning with the education of her two children in high school who need money for their activities. She wants them to have the necessities to achieve their goals.

What she wants most is for her business to be larger to continue working and supporting her children so that they are motivated and finish their education.
