A loan of $4,275 helped a member to increase stock of vegetables.

Manchaster Group's story

Sharifa S. is in her early 30s and is married with one young child. She has been running a vegetable business for two years and works from 5:00 a.m. to midday (seven hours). She is able to make a small monthly profit.

This will be Sharifa's second loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loan to buy more vegetables and successfully paid it back. She hopes for a loan to increase her stock of vegetables. Her dream is to one day be able to take her kid to a good school and also build her own house.

Sharifa will share this loan with her loan group, Manchaster, which has a total of 15 members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable in paying back their loans.
