A loan of $425 helped to buy sheep and chickens to raise.

Cielito's story

Ms. Cielito Garcia lives in the community of San Francisco Tlachichilpa. She is married and has 4 children, 3 of whom are in primary school. Her husband is a merchant and sells fruit and vegetables in the town market.

She and her family live in the house of her mother-in-law, and is now asking for a loan for her animal care business. She has been doing this work for a few years and tells us "I want to be able to progress and have more animals in order to make more money." She hopes to make a good investment in lambs and chickens so that when they are sold they will be worth more than before. She buys lambs so that when they reproduce, she will be able to bring her family everything that they need and thus will benefit from the sale. She hopes to help her husband so that they can soon have their own house. She says, "I want to save to be able to give money to my husband and buy our own home."
