A loan of $650 helped to purchase products (wardrobes, tables, chairs, shelves, dressers, etc.).

Audencia Zaqueu's story

Audencia Zaqueu M. was born in the city of Maputo, in the province of the same name, in southern Mozambique. She is a single mother of two children ages 22 and 25, who are still in school. She only completed school through the sixth grade because her parents did not have the financial resources for her to continue. She lives in her own home with her family and does not support anyone else.

She has never lived anywhere other than Maputo. She has had her own business out of her home for more than 6 years. She does not have any employees and she earns around 6.000.00mt to 7.000.00mt per month, which she uses for household expenses. She also saves some of her monthly earnings in her bank account.

Audencia has never had loans in other banks. She learned about Hluvuku through friends who are also clients. This is her second loan with Hluvuku, for 20.000.00mt, which she will use to purchase products (wardrobes, tables, chairs, shelves, dressers, etc.) to increase her inventory. Her prior loan was for 15.000.00 and was used for her business.

She promises to make her payments on time in order to have access to other loans in the future. She plans to request new loans to build a hair salon and a bank.
