Cloche Plus Group's story

Erick, age 24 and single, is the president of the community bank “Cloche Plus,” which is composed of 17 members united in solidarity to receive loans from Kiva through IMF HOPE RDC, with the goal of developing their businesses. Erick started his business in 2003. He sells miscellaneous goods at the market located northeast of the city of Kinshasa. He is a loyal client of IMF HOPE RDC who has already received three different loans and has repaid them properly. He intends to use the next loan to reinforce his business by purchasing some items that are needed by his customers and reselling them with the aim of increasing his profits. Each week, his business brings in a profit of US $130 per month. Erick’s ambition is to open a small company in his environment.
