Kiprono is 33 years old, single and has worked as a farmer for the last three years. He grows pineapples and bananas which he sells in a local market, along with milk that comes from a cow which he owns. He lives in the town of Litein in southern Kenya. He is applying for a loan for 45,000 KES from Juhudi Kilimo to buy and insure another cow because he believes he can improve his living standards by producing and selling more milk.
