Libertad Group's story

This group is named Liberty, and it is made up of Mrs. Ana Bertha, who will use her loan to purchase underwear, Mrs. Alma Rosa, who will buy cosmetics, Mrs. Rosa Maria, who will buy oil, soap, sugar, and beverages, Mrs. Mayra Nayeli, who will buy shoes and products from seasonal catalogues, and Mrs. Aleida, who will buy candies. Mrs. Ana Bertha is 40 years old, and she completed her third year of high school. She is married and has three children: Karina an 11-year old 6th grade student, Angel Felipe a 4-year old who is in daycare, and 5-month old Kimberli. She runs a food stand selling meals, juices, and shakes. She sells beef tacos, rice tacos, tortas (sandwiches), juices, shakes, yogurt, and fruit cocktails. She began her business three years ago to help support her family and improve her life. With the loans she has received she has purchased cookery and utensils. She previously worked in a restaurant and that is where she learned to cook, and now she has her own business. She likes to make her food with a lot of love because her business has been a great help in covering school fees for her children. Her hope and plan is to help her children study and become good people with careers and good jobs. The members of the group would like to say to Kiva and the Reality Foundation (Fundación Realidad), "Thank you for helping our businesses and charging us a low interest rate."
