A loan of $750 helped to increase and diversify the merchandise she offers.

Isabel's story

Señora Isabel is a borrower who is part of an entrepreneurial (communal) bank. She is very punctual and community-oriented. Her business activity is wholesale candy sales. She arranges her products in the schools and stores in her neighborhood and also in her own vehicle, which she managed to buy after she became a widow. She supports her two children, who are 10 and 4 years old. She also travels to Oruro and Potosí every two weeks, taking her products and supplying her customers. She will invest the money from the loan in the wholesale purchase of merchandise (sweets). Her dream is to build on the land that she inherited from her parents, to give her children a more comfortable life. She is a very hard-working person who is thankful to this institution for the support that they offer.
