Josefina's story

Josefina is a member of the "SAN MARTIN DE ZURITE” community bank which is located in the town of Zurite, in Anta province, in Cusco department. Josefina is 30 years old, lives with her partner, and has two children aged 8 and 1 year and 8 months. Josefina buys and sells animals. She buys guinea pigs, chickens and other kinds of poultry. She buys the animals when they are babies, raises them, feeds them with balanced animal feed and then, once they have grown, she sells them wholesale. The animals reproduce and thereby make her a profit. Josefina would like to buy 20 chickens and 20 guinea pigs to raise, feed, breed and finally sell the oldest animals wholesale. She sells her animals in the town market and also distributes them to different businesses. She is requesting this loan to invest in buying young animals. Josefina appreciates the loan that she has been granted and is grateful for it. She pledges to make her repayments in a disciplined manner.
