Main Dans La Main Plus Group's story

“Main dans la main Plus” is a group of owners of small businesses chaired by Marie. Its members are jointly liable for loans granted by Kiva to grow their businesses.

Blandine N. is determined to be a successful businesswoman. She started her general store business in 2008. Today, she sells chemical products in a market to the east of Kinshasa. With good management skills and thanks to accumulated profits, she has succeeded in making her business thrive. She would also like to achieve financial independence through her business, which earns her $150 per month. She works to the best of her abilities and uses her contacts to achieve her goals. Blandine is a trustworthy client of Kiva partner, HOPE RDC, having obtained and correctly repaid eleven loans. She will increase her stock of merchandise with her next loan by buying chemical products in bulk and reselling them at a profit. Forty-year-old Blandine is married and is the mother of five children, whose ages range between 6 and 13 years old. Four of them go to school. Her ambition is to open a chemical product storage facility in her environment.
