A loan of $1,500 helped a member to buy brooms and cleaning supplies.

San Vicente Group's story

The Mujeres Emprendedoras San Vicente (San Vicente Enterprising Women) committee is from the Remancito neighborhood in Villa Hayes-Chaco. Al the members are currently in their first cycle. Most of the members are broom merchants. Thanks to Fundación Paraguaya and Kiva they are driven to do better each time and to continue advancing more.

Laura Victoria is the member who is most dedicated to selling brooms; she’s been doing it for a long time. The business is conducted door-to-door. Despite it being very demanding work, it produces income, though not much, that allows her to live decently. All the members hope to have support from investors because it would be very difficult to get ahead without such help.
