A loan of $350 helped to purchase marble.

Gloria Aida's story

Gloria is a member of the Las Flores communal bank. She lives in the Parque de Miraflores section of the city of Cuenca. People visit this city for its natural and architectural beauty, and it has a varied gastronomy that captivates locals and foreigners alike.

Gloria is 25 years old. She is married and has two children, 4 and 7 years old. Her oldest child is a student at a small school in the city. Her husband has his own business. They do not have their own house, so they rent.

Gloria works as a secretary in her husband's business, which is the manufacture of marble tombstones and kitchen counters. She works Mondays through Saturdays from 8 in the morning until 6 in the evening.

This is her first loan with the communal bank. She was invited to join by her brother. She will use the money from the loan to purchase marble to continue the family business.

Her dream is to have her own house.
