A loan of $450 helped to buy more cattle for livestock business.

Arbilo's story

Arbilo, 28, lives with his wife and their three children in La Pala, a rural village in Piura, some four hours from the Peruvian city of Chiclayo, the capital of the Lambayeque region.

Arbilo has operated a livestock business for 4 years. He raises cattle, sheep and poultry on land near his house and prepares them for market. When they're ready for market, he sells them to the commercial buyers who work the area. He also earns money by working as a farm laborer and by selling the milk his cows produce to the local council at Tambogrande.

Arbilo wants to buy more cattle to expand his business and, in turn, increase his income. He also wants to improve the outbuildings where he keeps his animals. He is applying to Edpyme Alternativa for a 1200 new soles loan for the business.
