A loan of $725 helped to buy a bundle of vegetables (carrots and gourds) at a good price.

Julia's story

Julia is 55 years old, married and has 3 children who are grown and independent. She lives in her own home in the district of Jose Leonardo Ortiz, an urban zone, large and growing. It is located some 20 minutes from the city of Chiclayo, the capital of the region of Lambayeque. Her community has potable water and electricity. Julia sells vegetables in the Mercado Moshoqueque, a large market with a lot of commercial activity. Julia owns four stalls that her children help her with. She has been in this line of work for more than 20 years. She is very well known in the market and has an established clientele. With her loan, Julia hopes to buy a bundle of vegetables (carrots and gourds) at a good price. For this reason, she has asked for a loan of 2000 nuevo soles from Edpyma Alternativa (Kiva Field Partner). Julia's vision is to buy a truck to bring her own products directly from the farmers.
