This committee came into being thanks to Mrs. Eudelia B. and Mrs. Anacleta V.. They had visited the office of Fundación Paraguaya to learn more about the Comité de Mujeres Emprendedoras (Committee of Enterprising Women) Program. The women invited their friends and neighbors. They decided to work together to get ahead and thus improve their quality of life. The committee is made up of 19 hard-working, humble women who have to earn their living every day.
Mrs. Eudelia works raising and selling poultry, hens in particular. Her henhouse is in her own home. This makes it easier to spend time taking care of the henhouse.
She is a woman with many economic needs, but she wants to overcome the poverty in which she lives. For this, she turns to Kiva. She requests this loan to go towards the purchase of more birds and medicine to look after them.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
