Ra's Group
In this Group: Ra, Luch, Saroem, Nary, Sarim
This group loan consists of five members who will use their portions of the loan for different purposes to improve their families' standard of living. Mrs. Ra is the group leader who has been selected by the other members.

She is married to Mr. Nhor and they have two children. One is a seamstress in a garment factory and the other is studying in local public school.

Mrs. Ra and her husband are farmers who own a small piece of land where they grow rice. They sell part of the rice and rest of the rice they keep to support their family.

Besides farming, Mr. Nhor breeds ducks. But now they face an obstacle because they do not have enough money to support their ducks. So Mrs. Ra is seeking a loan to buy duck food.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
