A loan of $1,000 helped to buy materials to open a bookstore.

Jimena Janeth's story

Mrs. Jimena works as a draftswoman and makes drawings for students who are given projects at school. Her family is comprised of herself, her husband who works in another province and is away from home for long periods of time, and their 6-month-old daughter. She contributes to the family income with her work as a draftswoman.

Since she does her job from home she believes it would be a good idea to open a bookstore to increase income. She plans to use the loan to buy school and drawing materials. She is a hard worker and intent on getting ahead, and grateful to the institution for the support received.
