A loan of $1,000 helped a member to buy fertilizer, seeds and pesticides for agriculture business.

Haleema's Group's story

Haleema is 45 years old, married to M. B. and has five children. Four of them are enrolled in a nearby school and getting their education. Her husband does a private job for a low income. After his day job, he also works in the fields and grows different crops. He has a good number of business contacts and he makes reasonable profits by fulfilling their orders. By managing two jobs, he is able to cover the expenses of his home. Haleema is a housewife and does her household tasks by staying at home. She has applied for a loan from Kiva partner Asasah to help her husband in expanding his agriculture business. Through the loan, he will buy fertilizer, seeds and pesticides, etc. to grow better crops and make more profits. She is very much confident that after making an investment in her husband’s business, his business will grow and make him more profits than before which will result in better financial life for her family. She is a regular loan user of Asasah and this is her 2nd loan application. She hopes that this loan experience will prove a good one for her as was her previously one. Note: In the photo, the lady with a book (called Asasah Passbook) is Haleema.
