Pyapy Mbarete Group's story

The Pyapy Mbarete committee developed from the effort and help of another committee that worked in the same region. The present committee is from the City of San Lorenzo, and its principal object is the growth of each of its 14 women. Anatolia, the group's president, is 55 years old and lives in the City of Capiata, near San Lorenzo. She is an enterprising and innovative woman, with a good predisposition and is very active within the committee. Anatolia is a very humble but determined person. Each day she attempts to obtain income to maintain her family. She does artisan embroidery that is unique in design and texture. Anatolia's customers are numerous but she wants to increase the number to expand her income and give her a tranquil old age without future preoccupations. Anatolia is requesting a loan to buy cloth, thread, stretchers, and needles. She hopes she can count on the help of investors from Kiva and the Fundacion Paraguaya. All the committee members are striving and deserving of help for their dedication and desire to overcome the poverty in which they live.
