A loan of $4,000 helped a member to make repairs to her house.

Pamba Group's story

Romana J. is in her early 30's and is married with 3 children. She has two businesses, a pool table (hall) and a cow for milk. She has had these businesses for 2 years. She works from 10:00am to 10:00pm daily and is able to make a good monthly profit.

This will be Romana's third loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to go and collect her cow outside Dar es Salam. She also made some repairs on her pool table and has paid back her loans successfully. She hopes for a loan to make some repairs on her house. Her dream is to one day buy more cows and sell a lot of milk.

Romana will share this loan with her loan group "Pamba", which has a total of 17 members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable in paying back their loans.
