Alejandro's story

Alejandro is 56 years old, married, and has two children aged 23 and 21. He is a member of FINCA Peru's "Lila" community bank. Alejandro is requesting a loan for 1,600 Peruvian soles. His business is selling orange juice. He will invest his loan in buying an electric snowcone machine.

Alejandro used to sell food in Carlos F. Vivanco market then decided to start selling juice. He carries out his business every day, from 8.00am to 6.00pm, in El Puente Nuevo and it is doing well. He also prepares food for special events such as weddings, christenings and patron saints' days.

Alejandro has been working with FINCA Peru for nearly 10 years. He was invited to join by a friend. He likes FINCA Peru because he says that they are trustworthy and he can save money. He also receives training on different topics. Right now, Alejandro is saving up so that he can buy a plot of land and build his own home. His dream is for his children to become professionals.
