A loan of $600 helped to purchase crop supplies, fertilizers, and food for her birds.

Elvira Natividad's story

Elvira Natividad H. A. is 29 years old. She is single and lives with her mother and father and her two children in the Chillanes canton in the province of Bolívar.

The members of the La Soledad communal bank are located in Recinto El Tambo in Chillanes canton. This communal bank has 12 members who work in agriculture, growing cacao, rice, corn, and yucca, and raising birds such as chickens and ducks.

Elvira farms, growing cacao, rice, corn, and yucca. She also has chickens. She buys her products in Chillanes and El Tambo, and sells them at the fair on Sundays in Chillanes.

She is asking for the loan to buy supplies for her crops, fertilizers, and food for her birds. The loan will help her economically to supply her with necessities, and also to face challenges such as infestations, illnesses, and variations in climate. Her dream is to work very hard to have money for her children, since they have no father, and she has to find a way to give them everything they need.

She likes to help her children with their homework.
