Shahnaz's Group's story

Shahnaz lives in Mian Channu, which is a small city located in the Punjab province of Pakistan and known for its agriculture industry. She has been living there with her family in a single-room brick house for the past nine years.

She is the mother of six children. Only two of them are able to attend school and get their education. Shahnaz is an embroidery expert and earns a reasonable amount of income every month from her community clients.

She has applied for a loan from Kiva partner Asasah to improve her husband’s business of agriculture. He started this business six years ago. He grows different seasonal crops such as wheat and cotton.

Through the loan, he will buy supplies such as seeds, fertilizers and pesticides for getting maximum output from his work and to earn better profits.

Shahnaz is very hopeful about the future growth of her husband’s business and about the better financial future of her family.
