A loan of $725 helped to buy sacks of manure and alfalfa seed.

Teofila's story

Teófila, 62, lives with her husband and the youngest of her three children in her own house. Teófila has a long career in farming because she’s been farming and raising livestock for over 50 years. Both these activities have provided economic stability for herself and her husband for they had three children to care for who are now independent. She feels happy to have educated her children and now her remaining life is to continue farming and now she works just for herself and her husband. To date, she’s grown corn and potatoes which are the main crops her soil produces in good yields. Among the animals she raises are cows and bulls. When necessary, she sells them at the livestock fairs or to some neighbor who requires these animals. This is her 4th loan with MFP. She enjoys sharing her work experiences with the other group members. She will use the requested loan to buy sacks of manure and alfalfa seed that she needs as forage for her cows.
