A loan of $725 helped to buy sacks of manure.

Noemi's story

Noemí, 36, lives with her children in her own house. She is a farmer and her objective is to plant corn, a product that has high market demand which makes it very profitable. She sells all her harvests at a price that allows her to recuperate her investment. She realizes that each work day is hard both during planting and during harvesting so she needs to hire laborers to help with the most strenuous tasks; her family also helps out with these activities. For her, it’s important to invest this latest loan in the preparation of her fields, to provide sufficient nutrients to make them more fertile thus assuring a good crop yield. Because of this, she’ll continue to go forward with this activity. This is her fifth loan with MFP. She is excited to be in a group loan because she feels she’s learned a lot for her family’s benefit. She will use the requested loan to buy sacks of manure for her next planting cycle.
