A loan of $1,150 helped to buy inventory for her store.

Luzminia Maria's story

Luzminia is from the town of Achuapa and runs a small convenience store. She’s been doing this for five years, having started with a small store out of her home because she didn’t have very much working capital to invest. By buying certain items, it allowed her to grow her business into what she has today.

Luzminia is asking for this loan in order to buy corn, beans, rice, cooking oil, soups, snacks, bathroom tissue, and detergent soap. She decided to start this business so that she could solidify her income, be able to provide for her family, and motivate her children to stay in school.
