A loan of $200 helped to buy pigs and chickens.

Maria Del Carmen's story

Maria is 64 years old and lives in El Transito in the department of San Miguel. She raises pigs and chickens. She lives only with her husband, since her children have already made their own homes. This business came from her own initiative. She works at home and does not have a fixed schedule. She currently needs a loan to buy little pigs and chickens so she can start the process of fattening them up. This will permit her in the future to have sufficient animals in her farm to sell when they weigh enough, allowing her to cover her expenses and to make a profit.
Her aspiration is to grow in her business and expand it, in order to give her family a more comfortable and stable future.
